The BakTrax Device Is Easy To Use
Designed by a Chiropractor
Low back traction or spinal decompression is an extremely safe and essential form of treatment for virtually any type of low back pain, condition, or syndrome. By gently separating the vertebrae in a controlled manner, you can relieve pain and swelling/edema, promote healing, increase blood supply to the disc, and improve the structure of the spine. In some cases even reverse the effects of osteoarthritis and potentially remove irritation to the spinal nerves.
Easy To Use
BakTrax is a simple device to use because there are no moving parts. Start by placing the device on a relatively flat surface, all you have to do is lie your back onto the device by carefully positioning your pelvis below what we call the 'lumbar ridge'. While lying on your back and with your pelvis hooked below the lumbar ridge, you simply bend your knees and place your feet onto the floor and slowly push on your heels until you feel the desired amount of stretching in your lower back. YOU completely control the amount of traction so only go as far as it feels good for you. We recommend using Baktrax several times per day if in acute pain and scale back as the pain subsides.
At Bernese Enterprises we are extremely passionate about peoples' health and well being. That is why we stand behind our product.
Dr. Gene Bolognese
is a chiropractor that designed the Baktrax device after many years of practice and seeing what traction does to alleviate pain in vertebra of the spine. We all either have low back pain or know someone with low back pain and the many forms that this pain can take, like back spasms all the way to spinal stenosis and/or intervertebral disc herniation. As with all of these injuries and conditions, it is very common to have some sort of vertebral compression. According to the normal biomechanics of the lumbar spine, when you rotate the spine in either direction you get a corkscrew effect and
essentially create compression. Your vertebrae and discs act as coils, so when your spine is healthy and you rotate your spine back to the center, the opposite will occur and the normal disc spacing will be evident. When we have an injury, this mechanism is disrupted thus creating compression and degeneration follows. Degeneration is also referred to degenerative arthritis or osteoarthritis. Mild or severe lower back pain syndromes are the result of compression. When this occurs there is a downward pressure on the outer fibers of the intervertebral disc, loss of range of motion at the affected level, loss of blood supply to the disc, irritation to the spinal nerve(s), or vertebral endplate damage leading to degeneration just to name a few.

Q: This device looks similar to others on the market. Is it the same thing?
A: No. Although other products on the market are curved to support the normal lordosis (curvature) of the spine, BakTrax and its patent pending 'lumbar ridge' provides the actual traction not merely a cushion for your spine like other products.
